Unresolved grief can cause both emotional and physical symptoms, which can lead to lifelong unhappiness.
Are you feeling devastated, heartbroken, or hopeless? Have you experienced;-
· The Death of a loved one
· Relationship breakdown
· Job loss
· Pet loss
· The Effects of Covid-19
· Or any other loss?
I can help you to move beyond the feelings of pain, isolation, and loneliness, looking forward to a brighter future using the Grief Recovery Method®.
I offer one to one confidential sessions that help with unresolved grief. This programme is a series of 7- 8 sessions lasting approximately 90 minutes each, currently running remotely. It may also be necessary to add additional sessions.
I will provide you with a copy of the Grief Recovery Handbook® and I will guide you through the action-based programme, session by session. I will additionally provide you with materials to work through between sessions.
This method was pioneered in the 1970’s in the USA by John James and Russell Friedman, when they found nothing else to help them with their grief, they set up the Grief Recovery Method®, which is now used worldwide.
Because grief is such a misunderstood and little talked about topic it may be easier to start by saying what the Grief Recovery Method is not:
It is not counselling
It is not therapy
It is not an alternative treatment.
While any of the above routes may be of some little or great benefit, they mainly offer a path to discovery of the thoughts and feelings you have around the loss in your life. However, here at Grief Recovery Institute we maintain that discovery is not the same as recovery. The Grief Recovery Method® is an action plan. It is a series of small steps that lead to the completion of all unresolved business linked to the loss. It is also - to the best of our knowledge - the only grief support programme with an evidence base to its positive impact.
Hugely popular with coaches, funeral directors, clergy (regardless of which faith), therapists and counsellors and many other professionals, the programme is recognized by dozens of professional bodies around the world. In the UK it has been endorsed by the BACP for 30 hours CPD, is Quality Checked® by the National Counselling Society and was included in the Good CPD guide by the Training Development Agency for schools (TDA).
It is applicable to any, and all kinds of loss, which can also be used again and again with any future losses that occur, once you have participated in a programme, you will have all the tools you need to cope with loss later in life.
Each Certified Grief Recovery Specialist has been trained to guide grievers without judgement, criticism, or analysis, without comparing any loss, understanding that all losses are unique.
